it must look impressive bc people are always commenting on it. Yes of course I prefer it when someone helps me open the door, or when the bairn is walking, but that's not always realistic. And I am strong enough to carry the bairn and push the pram so I just do so. And it feels good to be witnessed.

Sometimes I do this thing where I'm pushing the pram with the baby and the bairn is riding on my shoulders and I have to open the door to the nursery courtyard and I don't have a free hand, so I just magic it open (balance everything for the brief moment I need to unlatch the door) and...

Dear President Obama,
I saw in your statement you said "Israeli families" & "the people of Gaza."
Palestinians have families, too.
This kind of language contributes to dehumanization. Dehumanization is part of what caused so many to stay silent as 20,000 children were killed in this genocide.
I've sat with wonderful Palestinian families from Gaza. They look at their children just like we look at ours - with all the love & hope in the world.

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.
