So, much as I am not remotely a baseball fan, I am about to watch my second #worldseries game in a row. A simple meal and a little fine BC whisky on tap as well (and I have been dry the past few weeks).
Not going to lie, it feels very good to be homeowners again. Got the keys this morning, with our main moving day coming on November 12th. In particular, it will be very nice to move away from the noise and busyness of the inner harbour.
What difference would that make? Both are just platforms of hot garbage, and a complete waste of time.
That wasn't a difficult guess but I got all three correct.
When the police and ICBC team up for road safety "advice," they will always place responsibility entirely on the most vulnerable users. With my crash (which nearly killed me), the police left it up to us to charge the driver or not, and we couldn't even get a copy of the police file.
I get that take, but my issue is that it just makes the arbitrary barring of entry or kicking people out for no reason beyond them wanting to, easier all the time. It's just another indication that the country doesn't respect people's rights and freedoms. In most cases they also don't need to.
If anyone is looking for a mortgage broker, we had stellar service from Kam at Auxilium Mortgage. We reconnected when we came back almost a year ago. Our application had challenges associated with my early retirement, and he still came through like a champ. Highly recommend. DM for contact info.
CBC should stop setting their hair on fire about every comment Trump makes. He's an amoral jackhole.

There's never going to be a decent trade deal. Trump is using tariffs to try and break Canada economically.

The entire focus should be new markets and surviving the tariffs until Trump is gone.
This guy goes to a pub, kills a pedestrian, panics, flees the scene, then lies about how his SUV was damaged, and all he needed to do was write a letter to get no jail time.

The alcohol, fleeing, and lying alone should have warranted jail time.

Nice afternoon out for the dog walk. I like sunny haze.

So it begins again ... But hopefully this will be the last time for a while.
Whatever you say, Homer. Keep defending the guy who's been suspended six times, almost entirely for shitty cheap shots. Sorry, but I don't give an asshole like that the benefit of the doubt. It was late and high.

The Night Epstein Died
Shandy met her doppelganger, "Lorelai" on this morning's walk. However, Shandy is a compact 45 lbs, and Lorelai is the "runt" of her litter, who will likely hit a paltry 100 lbs.

A very brief update to mark 18 months since my crash. Everything is fine, fitness is good, but getting my splenectomy abdominal incisional hernia repaired is absolutely a gong show, as I wait for not only a second CT scan, but also a #colonoscopy.

I love it when accounts like yours make it clear who I should mute for their stupid takes.

When a single car crash can gridlock Greater Victoria, it shows the fragility of autocentricity.

Walkable neighborhoods, safe cycling routes, and rapid & reliable transit aren’t just nice-to-havesβ€”they’re resilience. They give people options, cut congestion, and keep the city moving!

"One of the dangers of the American way is that it's America first in everything it does. There is virtually no interest in the ambitions, feelings, needs or sensitivities of any other nation.. It's one of the things that makes us resent Americans much"

If you drive a 2025/2026 Tesla or still use X, there really isn't an excuse. You really are just an asshole that looks the other way.
