& our late 80s-1991 project that lost to health boards & re-medicalization + ignoring everything upstream: co-locate at schools (walking distance for all)- public & mental health, soc services, housing, vax, dental, ear & eye screening, healthy mother healthy baby, basic legal advice, elder care...

It started before then. The silly idea that hospitals can solve Sask's health problems started with Ross Thatcher, accelerated x10 with Grant Devine.
Transitional Care Unit (waiting for long-term care) at City- also points to not focusing on care brought to older adults at home & homecare deficits

Yes, part of game. What's thought to be in it, is the "deal" re tarrifs. Don't think it's about not caring. Did recognize a Palestinian state whatever that is worth. Wonder about the cognitive dissonance required to play this sort of politics & how far conscience and truth can tolerate.

City Hospital has vacant floors last I checked. Correct plan would have been to put JPCP (Children's Hospital) at City.
But no, yxe, like everywhere needs to move so many non-emergency things out of hospitals into the community- maybe suburban malls or 35 year ago plan to co-use school space.

Age verification to access things online (websites, social media apps, games...) put the onus on end users & give the mega-corps so much more juicy personal information to profile users to sell to advertisers.

Not informed enough to understand all the issues- but ISTM that it can't be insisted that there non-ethnic, non-religiously defined country(s) in Israel-Palestine when the countries around it are religious/ethnically defined. FWIW don't think any countries should be defined by religion & ethnicity.

Best to not to pay attention to anything said about building another pipeline that has no private company interested in funding. Cenovus guy said they support but that's about getting gov't to pay for it- corporate welfare. Taxpayers have already paid for Transmountain. No economic case for one.

Provoncial politicians abuse the Charter of Rights and Freedoms "notwithstanding" clause. They're doing it more & more often. For cheap political reasons. The supreme court absolutely needs to rule on limits.
