we dont talk enough about how the majority of the podcast complex at this point is centered around playing new stuff.. AND that new stuff is generally only going to get about 2 weeks worth of discussion unless you're a doing a game club thing

I think a layer of nuance this round of discourse is missing is the very real FOMO that happens when not being able to purchase games on day one. For disabled people especially, who rely on games to build community and stay connected, not having a brand-new game means potentially losing community.

i grew up in Butler county.. and while as a kid i knew some people had problems.. it felt impossible to let things get this bad. in Hamiltion we used to bottle our water (top rated in the US at one point) and send it to people in disasters.

i didnt realize how small that bubble was.

my least favorite thing on the entire internet is being stuck in a youtube shorts hole, seeing an interesting TV show I've never seen an ad for bc it got buried on streaming and having to hunt for the name of the show in the comments where 50% of people are talking as if this is a real situation.
