Following up that a few minutes ago a few more people have helped and I’ve reached my break even point, I’m so thankful for the help. This has made all the difference I feel like I could cry, today feels so much less scary than yesterday.

I wanted to take a moment and say thank you, yesterday morning I was in a really really bad spot and everyone’s help has made a huge difference. People have been able to help me reach 78% of my goal and it’s turned a huge problem into something much more manageable

Hey everybody, I hate to ask, but I’m putting out my hat if anyone can help. I haven’t talked about it because I didn’t want to make it a big deal but two weeks ago I had to make an emergency room visit. With the big unexpected expense, start of the month payments I’ve hit a negative balance hard

Blessed are the frogs, for they keep making authoritarians look incredibly stupid
Three persons in inflatable frog costumes. One of them is holding a nicely painted sign with two little cartoon frogs holding hands, below the text "FROGS TOGETHER STRONG"

Fascism demands to be taken seriously and to be feared. That makes mockery a powerful tool. Is it how you "beat" fascism? I wouldn't go that far. But inflatable Reptar has surely poked a clearer hole in the story the White House is telling that the Democratic Party's multimillion dollar comms shops.

This video is everywhere because it's a hilarious visual refutation of Portland being on fire. You can't get a mass movement going without convincing the masses

so yes, this does do something actually

This literally does nothing. You are not beating fascism by dressing up in inflatable suits and dancing

Portland is leading the way. This is how you (non violently) beat Fascism. Humor and ridicule are key.

Not only this is amazing because part of fascism is the destruction of joy but it also makes it look ridiculous that the military is being deployed to put a stop to this

It’s also something I’m a little infamous for with some of my friends because it’s a contentious one but I like to start hotdog sandwich discussions which feel like part of that genre, more of the type where we’re figuring out the rule together

I think it’s my history as Magic the gathering player but I’ve always thought of them as green glass door games, essentially using the first one I learned as a metonym for the genre

I think in a lot of ways it’s an engaging style of GM because the players have to play in the space of like “is this what I want to do or the character would do, and does that matter?”. At the end of the day I think the answer is no, but my characters often end up in danger when I’m a player so
