I suspect by the end of the admin there will be enough dumb ass 6-3 decisions and contradictions in rulings under Biden vs this term on executive power that something that looked nonpartisan at first glance would get rubber stamped by anyone with a D next to their name

Most bang for the buck on political capital is probably going to be on Supreme Court reform. Court reform first opens up the playbook significantly from there. Opens up a wide range of possibilities within the 14th amendment disqualification clause and civil rights law

I had a lot of convos with people who said they were sympathetic, but Defund the Police was a "bad slogan". I told them it wasn't a slogan. It was an answer. It was an answer to the constant question "what can we do to actually lower crime and make our neighborhood's safer?"

Media framing has improved since the shutdown began and the Dems have done a very good job messaging the shutdown but I do not have confidence that Dems on the Sunday shows I’ll be prepared for how to message that Trump can’t just decide to pay the troops

Congress has delegated a lot of tariff authority to the president and the Supreme Court hasn’t ruled on the tariffs yet. Congress passed laws saying that the president can do tariffs themselves in an “emergency” or if other countries do market manipulation

Tariff money at this point can be collected but can’t be spent. To this point the admin really hasn’t even attempted to shift money authorized for one type of spending to another

DHS might just be buying everything they have authorization to buy at this point with their budget. Rumor was that the reason that Glock had to pull their model with the integrated optic from the big market because of a new big contract

I’m would think it isn’t so much about scale as it is some things that you would need people ready to do anyway and it allows you to figure out how trustworthy and good at the job they are. Putin isn’t going to want a body man with no prior experience

Only reason I think he would use that term is because he is a Calvinist. If there isn’t a hierarchy within a branch of Christianity it is much hard to think of a compatible flavor of Monarchy that works
