Conservatives spent the last few decades conjuring up a bogeyman of a communist takeover of the US government that would mean the incarceration of Christians and making practicing Christianity illegal, only to finally create their own version of such a bizarre fantasy.

The wealth gap actually closed during the Biden administration. Income increased more in the middle and lower ranges than in the higher.
Also, he was ridiculously beautiful in an era which had a larger-than-average share of beautiful pop stars (even allowing for the Aqua-Net dependent hairstyles)

The surface danger zone for sandwiches really depends on the ingredients tbh. An Italian sub, for example, has a high frag rate because of the bread consistency but better aerodynamic range, while a croque monsieur and the Rueben have less range but more splatter.
It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

gonna reiterate a hobbyhorse of mine: 'let the ATF keep electronic records' is a good fight to pick on guns. it doesn't impact normie gun owners at all, it's an insane bit of GOP mandated dysfunction in government, and it's being "tough on crime" in a way that actually matters
“At some point in the near future, Trump’s status as a lame duck will also kick in. ”
My worry is that his actions, and the actions of the GOP, indicate that none of them intend to give up power peacefully.

Bernie’s democratic socialism is still compatible with liberal democracy. Trump’s national socialism is not. Thank you for your attention to this matter! www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-is-t...

Seems like a bit of a tell, huh?
Trump filed lawsuits over jokes, tweets, and news articles, but not once over any of the countless allegations of child rape. I feel like more people should mention that.
Honestly, conforming to ISO 9001 isn’t difficult.
Eh, the City of Falls Church Police drove Volvos for decades because Beyer Volvo was in the city and donated them.
Gets you a reasonably quick shutter for something moving, and a good depth of field so the focus doesn’t have to be super accurate.
That sounds painful..

What's simplest way to signal you have never read Great Gatsby and have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER of its main plot points?

I'd say: Posing a flapper outside 1920s car—which might even be yellow. As in first pic.

Like having a "Chekhov party" with a gun on the dinner table.

The cruelty. The ignorance.

Republicans and independents do, and if you don’t win independents you lose.

It’s the opposite of the Newsome problem. He pr can’t get the nomination, but could get enough independents to win the general.
