The Caerphilly result suggests that Reform’s growing success has little to do with policy. It is the familiar smorgasbord of ignorance, fear, frustration, prejudice and hatred which have served Trump so well in the US.

Given that election rigging is now a given in the US (as it has been for decades in many countries), all this horror will inevitably come down to one question: Which side is most ready to use violence to get what they want?
We all know which side that is.
And they have an army.
