With the Olympics coming up next month, I'd like to humbly suggest the liberal democratic international claim cultural ownership of it. It's the quintessential cosmopolitan event, literally bringing countries together, & the athletes are nearly all citizens of the world. It's our thing, not theirs.
Things are grim right now but as a reminder of who we are and why we fight, this is the US Women’s figuring skating champion.
