Reminiscing about failed projects with a former coworker and remembering how I was killing myself with long hours we couldn’t bill for and being absolutely miserable only for clients to hate the implementation/platform. Very glad we stopped chasing that specific line of work.

I’m surprised Wilmington, NC is “deep south”. I always felt we were kind of disconnected and “weird beach people” despite being a former Confederate port city.

A while back, I wrote a little python “is the FT-891 back in stock at HRO” script and set it to run every morning at 9am.

Saw it was in stock and bought it this morning before the script ran.

Oh well.

Kid's baseball team won the coach pitch league championship. We had kids go from being afraid of the ball to diving in the dirt to make plays, or striking out every at-bat to getting solid hits. Even my kid went from playing outfield to first base. Super proud of him and the team.

Going into the office is overrated and not just because I had to buy new pants and a polo because I got fat (well, fatter) since the last time I was there and apparently cargo shorts and death metal band t-shirts aren’t “appropriate”.

Whatever it’s not like you can read the logo anyway.
