This isn't the artblock most ppl think of. I'm not out of ideas. This is a sensation that even picking up the pencil/stylus is more exhausting than doing anything else. I'd rather clean the house.

I've always been like this. If I'm not in school or employed, I have very little desire to draw.

Nothing wrecks my motivation to create like being unable to go to work. Between the stress of "I'm not earning money" and just the lack of a schedule in life.

I sit down to draw and before I know it I'm playing a video game or doomscrolling. I just don't want to draw. It feels like a chore.

You know how there’s been this big push towards encouraging older people to do puzzles, cognitive games, and to learn new things to keep them from succumbing to dementia?

Wonder where that’s gonna go with the rise of “outsource your cognitive functions to AI, it’ll be convenient” culture

Cognition is like strength. Use is required to not just gain, but maintain. The more thinking and cognitive work we offload, the duller we become as a result.

It's like deciding you'll use a mobility scooter without need and then figuring out a year later that you can no longer walk.

This is 100% at the level of "Welcome to the Black Parade", with its first note, a solo G natural on a piano, being immediately recognized by most people that lived through the 2000s.

There should be a little trophy musicians get when they accomplish whatever this is 😂

Pikmin is so much a Miyamoto's Lil Brainchild thing that chances are he just wanted to make a short showing how they are invisible to the human eye or something.

It gives "Pixar short" vibes.

I genuinely do not think it was a teaser or anything like some people have been saying. I just think it was a weird one-off thing to flex their animation muscles or maybe it was a secret Illumination thing. It's 100% referencing Pikmin; the BGM contains bits of Pikmin music.

Inktober Day 7: Starfish

After having been to the beach this year, I have three notes about it:
1. The sand is hot and sticks everywhere (Anakin was right)
2. There are also a lot of seaweed, and they get tangled in your feet
3. So many collectables by the shore!!!!

If I follow someone, it's because I like seeing their posts, not because I want them to follow me back. And if they do end up following me back, I hope it is because they decided they also like seeing what I post, and nothing more.

Or I fear losing that networking connection because maybe that person did engage with me but they likely only did so because I was following them. I'll never really know.

I like when engagement and follows feel sincere and freely given with no expectations.

I dislike when ppl follow me and never interact with me, but I REALLY dislike following someone because I felt pressured to and I don't vibe with basically anything they post. Sometimes I even actively dislike them and have to decide to break the mutual, potentially starting drama.

I don't know but a problem I want @bsky.app to solve is the fact I only like retweets from SOME people I follow. The solution is the ability to mute retweets frome specific accounts.

If they can make that into a "Zen mode" great but they need to make that feature ASAP.
