I still have lots of Q’s, but hopefully the notion that AI companies can just use whatever they want w/o consent & claim “fair use” is receding further & further in the rear-view mirror of an outrageously exploitative past.

DHS placed my FOIA request for all of Kristi Noem's Truth Social DM's in its simple processing queue.

Not that I'm going to hold DHS's feet to the fire (I am), but in FY 2024 their average processing time for simple requests when information was released is...11 days.

Let's see if that sticks.

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

🚨🚨 In recent weeks, a third-party law firm, ClaimsHero, has launched an aggressive online campaign urging authors to opt out of the Anthropic settlement. But as the federal judge overseeing the settlement made clear last week, ClaimsHero’s campaign is not just misleading—it may be unlawful.

That’s right, these are all made primarily of GLASS — a fact difficult to accept given how accurate & lifelike they are
