The other weird thing is people like to conflate a follow-count with an artist's level of skill or prominence, and that's just an incorrect metric. Some of our most skilled and well-regarded colleagues have modest followings online. Developing a following online is a whole other skill.

A drawing isn’t magic. In concept art there’s nothing mystical to it- what it *is*, is a series of minute, specific decisions made line by line, paint stroke by paint stroke, by a person with an expert eye and a point of view. Those decisions matter, the surrendering of those decisions is tragic

a work in progress/wip digital illustration of the op's persona 4 fanfic "exit doors" done in clip studio paint/csp. the illustration is cropped from its full size. an older yosuke hanamura and naoto shirogane are sitting next to each other in a tokyo park. yosuke notably has glass now and longer hair. he looks upset. naoto, meanwhile, also looks uncomfortable, as they drink something from a can. naoto's hair is longer as well. as this is still a wip, only yosuke has lineart, the rest of the image is a sketch.
