The WELLS Act, introduced in Congress, would require hospitals to create a Safe Discharge Labor Plan before releasing patients showing signs of labor. Sparked by Mercedes Wells' traumatic experience of being turned away in labor, this bill aims to ensure no woman is denied care in labor again.👏🏿
