Today's 70% fall in net migration to 205,000 was not one of the six stories in BBC ten o'clock news.

Ta massive assymetry in whether rises in immigration and falls in immigration are considered newsworthy by broadcasters

Down by 140k isn't thought to be.

Up by 140k undoubtedly would be.

Today we’ll get latest net immigration figures - They’ll show immigration for work is plummeting.

Why is this not part of the discussion on Rachel Reeves balancing her books & stalled growth?

For every 100,000 drop in net immigration, the OBR adds £7bn to the deficit. #r4today

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

The government’s decision to halve the time limit for refugees to leave Home Office accommodation is driving people into homelessness and exploitation, according to migrant rights campaigners and homelessness charities

New asylum policies making homeless refugees “targets for the far right”
Labour’s abrupt return to the 28-day move-on period is pushing vulnerable people into rough sleeping and exposing them to fraud and abuse.

Donald Jackass Trump IS the most corrupt president in American history. That's barely just an opinion; he's continued to prove it day after day, month after month, year after year. Maybe if he wasn't corrupt, nobody'd say it & the BBC wouldn't feel the need to edit it. But that's just me 🤷🏾‍♂️
November 25, 2025 at 2:57 PM
The right-wingers who were pissed off at the BBC for broadcasting a documentary that edited Trump's January 6th speech are either silent or glad that a line calling him "the most corrupt president in American history" is edited from @rutgerbregman.com's Reith lectures. "Free speech absolutists" ey.🙄
November 25, 2025 at 1:42 PM
But that Panorama documentary is so much worse apparently.. 🙄
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1
