I meant what I said.

Everyday I speak with patients whose lives were already hanging together by a thread. DC Council’s drastic cuts to safety net programs is like using a sledgehammer to solve the District’s medical coverage crisis, when what they needed was a needle and some empathy.
Access to healthcare is declining for many low-income and immigrant residents in the D.C area due to funding cuts resulting in new eligibility requirements. It's already putting some people's health at risk.

D.C's residents feel the effects of diminishing access to health care
In July, the city approved a budget that dramatically cut Alliance health care funding, making it harder to access the program.

At the beginning of the holocaust, I had 25 grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents living under Nazi occupation.

16 were killed, only 9 survived. Including 3 grandparents I grew up with.

In their memories, on this #HolocaustRemembranceDay:

NEVER AGAIN FOR ANYONE!

Family of tourists at DC’s Union Station in matching navy blue beanies. Thought it was a kinda cute coordinated winter accessory before the DC area gets blanketed in snow over the weekend.

Got closer and realized they were the forced-birth activists in March for Life hats 😵‍💫

This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

I don't think it is possible to understate the impact Reb Arthur zt"l and his vision of prophetic justice had on me and generations of Jewish activists.

May the memory of the righteous be a blessing.
We are writing to share the news that Reb Arthur Waskow z"l died peacefully this morning, Monday, October 20. Just days after celebrating his 92nd birthday, Arthur left his body this morning with ease.

D’Angelo was one of the most widely revered artists of the past 30 years.

He began his career as a songwriter for other artists, but quickly asserted himself as a solo star with his 1995 debut 'Brown Sugar.'

this business model should be flatly illegal

taking on a bunch of debt to buy a company and then burning the company to the ground to service that debt while paying yourselves huge fees is a purely destructive practice that has never once had a positive outcome

ban it completely
It’s official: EA is going private.

The leveraged buyout will be financed by a staggering $20 billion of debt, which likely means some *aggressive* cost cutting is ahead for EA in the coming months and years.
