I've come across a few sports mental health sites that argued the way the media positioned Ilia as the de facto gold medalist ahead of the Games placed unnecessary mental stress on both him and his opponents.

I watched the men's FS last night with some friends/family last night who rarely pay attention to figure skating. The first thing one of them said after Deniss' skate was, "What an artist!"

Unpopular opinion: I would probably care much more about the outcry re certain pairs' scores had we seen similar widespread reactions in the men's events. But hey, I guess as long as a corrupt system benefits one country it's perfectly OK - until it turns against them 🤷♀️

Yes. Quite frankly, it's a pet peeve of mine when authors don't use them and just make up distances and travel times for real world places - especially in today's day and age.

I was happy with what I was able to perform. It's frustrating because with my injury, I can't do everything I’d like to do. I'm hoping I can climb a bit in the free program, I can't do a double axel which is required in the short.
