Late night library disc is "Murder on the Orient Express" (1974). Plots twistier than a yoga instructor choking on a pretzel but I love every bit of this ridiculous, horny, funny, scene-chewing, art directed to infinity, character-actor bouquet 💋

"Black-Owned: The Revolutionary Life of the Black Bookstore";

"Black Guy Dies First", a list/history/analysis/riff on the infamous horror movie trope;

Starting "The Black Angels: The Untold Story of the Nurses Who Helped Cure Tuberculosis". Iiiiiit's grim!

I adore Jamie Strickler's essay for @wweek.com's Reasons to Love Portland Issue. Trans and nonbinary folks are nearly everywhere I go around town, and I personally can't say that about recent New York or LA trips. Especially now, this is a reason to celebrate:

5 million adoptees in the U.S. yet not one news article about how the SAVE Act will impact their right to vote.

Only 16 states *give* adoptees unfettered access to their birth certificates, y'know.

With face blindness (Prosopagnosia), it's hard to describe how nothing Chris Pratt, the "Running Man" dude, Tom Hardy are. I try to visualize their features and I see, like, bowling balls with hair.
I would've like the new Running Man about 100 times more with almost anyone else as the lead - I do not get the appeal of that actor at all
