Hello four people,

My name is Andy and I'm a historian of the Georgian and Victorian eras. My day job is in Community Development. I'm queer, enjoy pizza, videogames, Simpsons tattoos and lying down. I will post about all of these things so have fun and enjoy the utter banality of my life.
the budget being leaked 25 mintues early. DURING PMQs - hilarious. So stupid. Ridiculous. Buffoonery.

Hello - I need to get new glasses and I need the unflinching truth that only a jury of my online peers can bring. Come at me with all the venom you would reserve for someone saying "you actually *can* separate the art from the artist" and stop me from making a mistake

Found the old pinto recipes in an email from 12 years ago so I am making steak tacos and crying

Can't believe we got a new Strong Bad email. After all this time.

I have this weird need to go organise my mp3s and apply album art to all the folders while I wait for the Schwarzkopf Live to set. I want to talk about Seth and Summer on MSN Messenger later. Any1 going 2 senses fail at QMU?

Do you think this is too much for where I talk about attitudes to poverty in the 18th century?

The talk is two weeks tomorrow and I am *nervous*

I cannot possibly subscribe to another streaming service

Except there's now a Wong Kar Wai telly show exclusive to the Criterion Channel so like I'm so sorry but I do not have a choice here.

Decided to finally watch Frankenstein but wanted to go full gothic horror day so sandwiched it between The Innocents and Crimson Peak.

I am having a good time.

Really enjoying the smell that my electric heater gives off. It’s a heady whiff of “this might kill me” and “my head hurts”

If I could live in any time period it’d be the early modern period because I like the aesthetic, but I’d absolutely be done for a witch within a week because of course I’m fornicating with the devil under the full moon because I wouldn’t have the internet and what else am I gonna do.

Built my mf’n book case

I turned off Gmail's AI features (because, let's all be shocked, it's using your emails in horrible ways) and in swift vengeance it no longer auto-sorts my inbox and now my phone pings every time a brand I bought one thing from five years thinks I give a fuck about their 10% off sale.

Made it so you can choose whichever cover art is your fav!

I finally got rid of the giant box my bed came in and this weekend I will build my bookcase and unpack the rest of the boxes and I’ll hang some prints and maybe finally feel like this place is home.

I definitely need a big and obnoxious plant that will die in 3 months that I’ll never throw away.

My boss, who is past retirement age, wanted to see if AI might be helpful in summarising the big reports we issue to our board of trustees who are predominantly in their 70s and 80s.

She doesn't swear at all, but after one attempt she called it "absolute mince." Pretty damning imo.

So it was actually a monumental success, and I'm about to undertake some truly ground breaking work in community wealth building, but I doubt I'll learn from this experience and will continue to diminish my talents while catastrophising every moment of my life xoxo
Had a catastrophic failure earlier following months of work and research so I'm going to respond like an adult and that is order a subway, book a tattoo and work out what colour hair I can both suit and get away with professionally.

So it turns out they have always been able to do something about energy prices, just not for us. The people who need it.

Please give me your favourite musical numbers for karaoke - I have less than two weeks to shower practice and I think I've done my favourites to death.

Holy fuck
November 17, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Could it be? The overwhelming task I put off for 2 months has been completed in less than 5 minutes? If only I could find some way to learn from this experience.

I feel like AI has like...permanently and irrevocably reduced how much I can enjoy things. Because any time I see/watch/hear anything I have to ask myself if it's AI or if AI has assisted in some way.

Was looking at some banger art there and realised I was scanning every single finger and eyeline.

I think being suplexed would fix me actually
