Ive always heard that kale is a super green but I didn’t realize how much it can actually help with. It helps improve and aid a lot of things with our body like eye health or inflammation. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Doing a 24-hour food recall was actually easier than I expected mostly because I keep a mental track of what I eat..What surprised me was the lack of variety. I feel like I was eating more on one nutrient than the other.

This article was really interesting to read about. While green juice looks quite unappetizing (at least to me) I am more open to trying it due to the fact that it helps with reducing inflammation and heart disease risk. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This week we went over macro and micro nutrients. A interesting fact I learned is that it’s good to have protein in your diet not only for building muscle but it helps with feeling full.

This week something that stood out to me was the fact of how just because something is researched doesn’t necessarily make it good research. We have to think about the fact of the quality of research and want to make sure that it has a strong evidence @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Before learning about nutrition I often thought of it as a black and white. And unhealthy food as something we should completely avoid. But as I learn more I realize how nutrition is about moderation and not about complete avoidance. I wonder what type of things you can do to get out if this mindset
Too much of anything can be bad for you—that’s exactly what too much means...yet we constantly slide from "too much of something is a problem" right into "any of that is toxic!"
Many things that are risky in excess are essential or safe in moderation.
Nutrition isn’t black+white - neither is eating.

I’m Anna I’m a sonography major taking this class as an elective, and because nutrition really interests me. I’m curious how nutrition directly impacts energy levels, short term and long term. One word I associate with healthy eating is balance. My favorite food is steak. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
