One year, my dad missed my birthday because he had to cover a baseball game. Or: part of a game. The end of a Red Wings-PawSox battle that had been postponed after the first 32 innings ended in a tie several months prior. The Sox won it in the 33rd.

I always felt that way about McCarver before Smoltz. Feels like a pattern where a lot of analysts, especially at the national level, get douchier the more comfortable they get in their role.

When the cheeseburgers and diet cokes eventually do their job on dear leader, the depth of division will be wild to watch. 99.9% of their tv hits are for an audience of one. So many reps were elected b/c they pledged fealty to dear leader. So many fascist clowns will be directionless.

😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 I’m laughing so hard because there are absolutely zero reasons for them to do this…but I’ve also learned to never put anything past a franchise owned by Dick Monfort, so I’m also laughing as a mechanism to keep from crying. Couldn’t imagine a worse fit.

OK, I don't think I can explain the incredible ever-increasing velocity in MLB better than this.

We just finished the 4th inning of tonight's Cubs-Brewers game.

This game has had 35 100 mph pitches. That's more than were thrown in the '08, '09 or '10 postseasons.
