Labor Ag Minister Julie Collins is siding Bob Katter in making sure buffel grass keeps being spread. Meanwhile hummock grasslands and unique species like MacDonnell range cycads are being smothered and burning.

Incredible documentary that's a must see re: mining in Australia, and the legacy we need to deal with. How Australia is hurting First Nations people at the expense of colonialist profits.

This is the beautiful and internationally significant Lake Woods in the Barkly. Submissions close today on what would be the largest solar farm on earth - 500 km2, just 25 km south from here.

This is 1.5% of the entire occupied habitat for bilbies.

How many extra possums does it take to compensate for a dead platypus?
That’s the kind of calculation a bureaucrat would literally have to make under Environment Minister Murray Watt’s new ‘environmental laws’.

This would be the biggest solar farm on Earth! Why it’s on a bilby stronghold, next to Lake Woods a wetland of international significance for waterbirds.

It needs rigorous environmental impact assessment. I’m at a loss as to why it’s not on cleared land.

Submissions will help.
