Friends, people hate pie because they fear pie. Brothers and sisters, there is nothing to fear. There is no bad pie. There are only bad guests.

There are few single acts that would be more damaging to US foreign policy than mass purging Afghan allies who risked their lives to work with us

I hope there are still people in the US Armed forces who see that

I love how every couple weeks some numbnuts does something real real stupid and we all get to wait and see if Abusive Dad President goes full krystalnacht in response. Love it. My favorite thing.

If the Democrats nominate this wet noodle in a suit because the NYT editorial board told them to so help me god I will scream inside my heart so loud they will hear it in space

I'm not forcing them to make anything. I am forcing them to pulp "Prometheus" and the Star Wars Sequels, and banning any film based on a comic book for the next 75 years
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

On the one hand this is bad, on the other hand, who are these absolute naifs using recipes off random blogs with nothing but a search result? Do they also buy brands they don't recognize off Amazon? Did they not figure out this was a bad idea the first time they got 2 #8 screws labeled "ear buds?"
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

I can't think of a worse way to defeat fascism than pretending it's not here
OPINION: "Calling the president a fascist does nothing to advance the Democrats’ cause — and more of the party’s leaders would do well to realize that." — Jonathan Zimmerman

Weird. I feel a lot of rage at James Carville and think we need to shed the last vestiges of him!

Economic populism would be lovely, I suppose, the one has to wonder what Jim thinks that means, given his track record.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

"It is abundantly clear even to me that the Democratic Party must now run on the most populist economic platform since the Great Depression," James Carville writes.
Opinion | James Carville: Out With Woke. In With Rage.
Democrats also have to shed the last vestiges of woke.

I can kinda manage a docker instance. I can take an ok photograph. I write well enough. I cook pretty good. I can stumble may way through gardening and animal husbandry. I am like an incredibly mid version of that Heinlein rant about being well rounded.

Are these legal scholars in the room with us right now?
For over 300 years now, it is a bedrock principle in Anglo-American constitutionalism that obedience is owed according only to law. Refusal to follow an illegal command is not only a moral choice but an absolute duty.
