Like even IF you believe bodycams are a positive step toward accountability (nevermind that Renee Good’s murderer filmed the murder himself! Or that bodycams don’t seem to prevent abuse) why would you believe that this organization would abide by the rules to wear them or keep them running?
Here’s what I don’t get about Schumer et al pushing for reform rather than abolishment of ICE: ICE breaks the rules & laws that are ALREADY in place. Why do they believe that ICE agents would abide by new restrictions?

Joe Mazzulla and the Celtics bench are right to be upset here. Jordan Walsh got called for a soft foul on the other end when Onyeka Okongwu hit the floor. Then Okongwu dispatched Baylor Scheierman on the next play and there was no call.

Whatever comes out of all this, it will be remembered that the front and end lines were the people on the ground. They put themselves on the line day after day while those most able to help them dawdled.
Chuck Schumer just announced demands on DHS to avoid shutdown:
1. End roving patrols, tighten rules on warrants
2. Enforce accountability & unified code of conduct for agents
3. No more masks & require bodycams
There are *already* standards on much of this.
The issue is DHS isn't following them!

I’m curious to know where the rest of the MA delegation stands on this question of qualified immunity and if that has shifted in recent days. (As in, have they been asked recently? They may have said one thing before Minnesota but be open to this position now?) Does anybody have a tally? #mapoli
There's no ICE accountability without ending qualified immunity.
They're murdering people. There won't be justice for the lives they've stolen, but there must be accountability.
