One good thing that *could* come of all this is people really truly understanding that turning a blind eye to child abuse is just as bad as perpetrating child abuse. We don't truly believe that in this country - proved by the fucking shocking amount of child abuse.

This is a good thing to be bothered about. We should all be bothered by this.
What bothers me is a U.S. president who appears to celebrate the murder of a critic. If someone can normalize that, it’s not a stretch to fear where it leads. History shows how this played out in 1930s Germany, and we see echoes of it in Russia today.
