Way back in 2024 :] Some 8051 recycler pcbs from Aisler! They came out great, I have them for a 'quick grab' inexpensive controllers on stuff I dont even want to throw a controller at in the first place.

You can be effective by switching off your phone, reusing verified HW blocks, or ordering your PCBs locally.

PCBs arrived from @aisler.net. Only one of them has a short! That’s not a design flaw, but a tolerance thing. This is the most complex PCB I’ve designed. Sweating at the thoughts of placing the tiny components!! 😂

Redesigned 555, called MIC155x, was aired yesterday.

Creating the PCB layout using #KiCad is a breeze. I've been using the 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗥 plugin. The PCB manufacturing order is then a task that takes 30 seconds.

Working with polarized components during manual assembly can be tricky, but some tricks can make it easier. A thread 🧵:
