An investigation by DHS is not a criminal civil rights investigation. Only FBI has jurisdiction for that. This seems like a misleading and hollow gesture to appease critics

Update: Today, the theater lists three showings, with a smattering of more tickets in the remaining screenings, none of them half full. #Melania
Granted, the closest movie theater to me isn't a giant place, but it does have a bar. So far, out of four showings of #Melania on opening night, three people have reserved seats. Almost makes me want to see who they are, especially the front row person. Almost.

Minnesota making moves in both state & federal court to prevent feds from sidelining them and worse, obstructing an investigation. These moves are important in themselves but also as templates for how to battle fed opposition in the event of a homicide prosecution for the killings of Good or Pretti.
