And this is how we treat people…

We are awful

I'm about halfway through. I didn't know a lot of the background info on Bannon (but it's unsurprising he was a tech investor). Great research!

I hope @vanbadham.bsky.social does a follow-up too. It'd be interesting to learn how the trolls reacted to the orange man's Epstein links... #auspol

This is a point that needs repeating. It’s fiscally conservative to house the homeless, it’s also the right thing to do.
Anderson Cooper: So it's more expensive to have a chronically homeless person living on the streets than it is to actually subsidize an apartment for them?

Answer: Yes, we’re paying more as taxpayers to walk past that person on the street and do nothing… #HousingFirst

These pics capture so much of what's wrong in the world today.

It's BP using a crane to replace a perfectly functional fossil fuel price sign with a new one, because of a brand refresh. On a six-lane stroad.

Have to recommend QAnon and On for anyone wanting to know how something as bizarre as QAnon could leave the depths of the Darknet and and infect so many people, including here in Oz. It's crying out for a sequel or update #VanBadham! 😛

The most critical form of free speech for working people is the right to collectively demand that problems in the workplace are fixed, through a Union.

If you don't support the right for workers to organise, then no, you really don't support free speech.

Is Kellie Sloane for real? She thinks people will react well to her saying she will be a "frequent flyer" to Parramatta?!

It is literally less than 30mins on the train from Central to Parramatta. She's acting like it's the wild wild west. #nswpol www.smh.com.au/national/nsw...
NSW Liberal leader Kellie Sloane heckled during visit to Parramatta
A protester shouted at Sloane to “go on back to Vaucluse” as she tried to woo voters in western Sydney, but she told them she wasn’t afraid to have “difficult conversations”.

To mark the opening of the Powerhouse Museum in Parramatta, the museum is inviting members of the public to contribute small, sciencey objects for the time capsule that will be sealed and buried, not to be opened until 2126.

Submissions close Wed 26 Nov. (next week!)

We need a strong, organised trade union movement to ensure workers get their fair share.
Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running.

This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

How NOT to design & build public transport!
The light rail stop buried in the bowels of Star Casino is such a dismal environment; dark, internalised, closed to the street & harbour, the poor cousin to the shiny casino above.
Never make public transport subservient to private agendas.

Along with the Sega Master System and MicroBee, it helped ensure the Nintendo NES struggled in the Australian market.
