Sure, but if you ask an American Evangelical, Christ is a KING who must be OBEYED with absolute devotion. A lot of them will tell you that liberation theology is "works based salvation" and therefore Satanic. Something something "faith not works."

Defunding and demilitarizing the police -- which INCLUDES ICE -- would not have made it easier to "take over the place."

You're literally just saying "We couldn't defund the police because somebody would have funded them!"

Loyalty.

Because in a dystopia especially, when you can't rely on institutions or being part of "something greater," the only thing you can count on is the crew/family/squad/team you're running with.

Sometimes loyalty to the wrong people is a story in itself (betrayal-> found family -> revenge).

No its not. Because the Dems embracing of right wing fascism will ensure the next candidate the party runs is the whitest white man who ever lived. He’ll be a handsome centrist who is amenable to bigotry and yet makes it look cool in an Obama-era way.

Unfortunately Gavin Newsom is the frontrunner for PRECISELY the reason the Dems are foundering: he has a backbone.

Pritzer tries too but he doesnt have a shot at the presidency (though he WILL run).
