oh don't worry I'm sure they will be out with a statement soon that Harris is *also* unacceptable.
a poll taken last week had Kamala Harris 18 points ahead of Newsom, in pretty much every poll she leads often by a lot, its a long way away but the idea that Newsom is the nominee in waiting is not based on any reality and seems to be most dearly held by people who claim not to want him.
trans people: give us any nominee besides the guy who keeps trying to shut us out of life. There's 3 years, you don't have to pick literally the worst possible nominee
shitheads: you're not real, you're not trans, you're not a serious person, we don't want you here, you're not american

so serious

Pam Bondi was awful at the hearing but I also think she showed signs of guilt..

Which reminded me that like Ghislaine Maxwell there are other women who were perpetrators just like the men

Pelosi is a legend. This is a miss.
Nancy Pelosi is retiring from Congress, but she has more campaigns in mind. Among them: Boost Gavin Newsom as a potential contender for the White House in 2028.

Trump recently suggested that he is getting ready to issue a new anti-voting executive order. Last time he issued one, we sued and won. If he does it again, we will sue and win. Trump knows this. It is why he and his allies hate and attack me.

I will never back down or stop fighting for democracy.

There were approximately 7,000 candidates for the Democratic nomination in 2020.

There is absolutely no reason to think it won’t be the same in 2028.

No one is being shoved down anyone’s throat.

Find a candidate you like, and do something useful to support them. Or shut the fuck up.

Biden was the most economically progressive president since LBJ at least, he pursued a full-employment economy at huge political risk, it worked spectacularly.

And what happened is that the entire progressive universe decided that he must not have done any of it, or else he would have been popular
Are the progressive economic policies in the room with us right now?

At this point, im over the political slogans. Bring a plan of action to the table. That resonates way more than a slogan that at most gets the social media crowd going.

This is not new and AGAIN FOR THE SLOW PEOPLE IN THE BACK. Black Americans have been vocalizing concerns about wealth inequality THROUGH NETWORKS since the early 19th century, often framing it as a direct consequence of stolen labor and systemic exclusion from capital.
We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

Seriously. Dear Leader is totally gonna try to get rid of real elections in the US.

That attempt is how he destroys himself and his shithole regime.
Shut da fuck up
This may be the most dangerous development of all. It will give Trump fake legal pretext to reject Nov election results. American democracy has like 9 months left.

Trump says he will issue executive order to get voter-ID requirements before midterms www.cnbc.com/2026/02/13/t...

Even if the Democrats take the House AND the Senate, it is going to require ~17 <Republicans> to end the daily lawless authoritarianism until 2029, let alone to pass major institutional reforms to restore/complete 🇺🇸 democracy. There is no Green Lantern Democrats can use. There are only 2 solutions:
There remain only two solutions to our authoritarian problem, & both involve the remaining Republicans who care about democracy & the rule of law making hard choices. Democrats cannot do this for them. It requires a national front & a new center-right party of Bill Kristols

Again, the answer is “10-25 people in Washington, <all> of whom are Republicans, or it’s not going to happen.”

And yet, these 10-25 people get free passes every day & still can leave their houses & go to work with scarcely a question about when they’re going to start fulfilling their oaths 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Again, I know everyone wants to yell at The Democrats & Chuck Schumer & Hakeem Jefferies, but there are 10-25 people in Washington who could literally end all of this tomorrow, & none of them are Democrats, & they continue to get 24/7 free passes for being absolute oath-violating cowards. Focus.
Yes, we’re looking at you, Lisa Murkowski & Susan Collins & Thom Tillis, you absolute oath-violating cowards.

This is equivalent to the police saying they found a guy riddled with bullets and what likely happened was that he tripped and fell on the gun as it was going off.
A woman whose remains were found in a trash compactor in the basement of a public housing building in Brooklyn this month most likely died after slipping down a garbage chute and into the compactor, police officials said on Friday.

The problem with folks theory fighting about Newsom being the Dem front-runner is that it assumes he even has it locked in the first place. Way too many better candidates that will be putting there hat in the ring.
