I remember all the times in the various grades when we went through the Constitution, the third amendment was always painted as archaic by every instructor. Important to know but unlikely to ever be relevant again. Little did they know.

I have no problem with them feeling proud If they feel they are contributing to the betterment of a city. They didn't ransack it, they didn't kidnap people off the streets, they didn't pepper ball or mace people, so I'm happy to let them have that.

Well he's had 9 years to write one. The Republicans in Congress have had 15 since ACA was passed. Now we are supposed to suddenly believe they're serious about putting the other a plan when they still haven't even offered an outline? I can only speak for myself, I'm not that fucking dumb.

They all have the responsibility to refuse unlawful orders - from your lowest ranking local police officer on the street all the way up to that dipshit running DHS. The difference is NG and military have a multi-year commitment they can't walk away from. Police, ICE and CBP can resign at any time.

Which was the fear when all of these agencies were consolidated under DHS. It should have never been done but it was forced on us.

I think at this point it's very important that we distinguish the National Guard, which is what your picture is of, versus ICE and Border Patrol. So far the NG has participated in none of this. They don't have a choice to be there. ICE and Border Patrol, they've made a conscious choice to do this.

A whiteboard and throwing a public tantrum claiming Democrats rigged the election against her for the Senate race. Beyond that I really can't name any stand out accomplishments during her time in the House.

There are currently 14 Democratic candidates who have either announced or are considering announcing. There are 9 more who have either withdrawn or declined to run. There are plenty of options on the Democratic ballot. She's in no position to assume she's going to win by default.

I think it was too much ego. She thought she would make it to the Senate on her whiteboard act and no real substance to her time in the House. When she didn't, she threw a tantrum claiming a rigged election. Now this. There are solid candidates, like them or not, she needs to be way better than this

I've seen the entire piece. It doesn't change my mind. She was dismissive and entitled. This race is just starting, if she doesn't want to explain herself and her positions, she should probably find something else to do with her time.

It's not just the shit attitude towards people. It's the open entitlement and lack of respect for voters - not wanting to answer follow-up questions, dismissing 40% of California out of hand, claiming a rigged election. She claims to be a leader, but I'm just seeing entitlement, not leadership.

What I would like to see is Democrats put together a counterfascism team. A concerted effort to counter the fascist propaganda and lies pushed by this administration. Kind of like what Newsom is doing, but on steroids. While we still can, while we still have the freedom to speak. Fucking speak.
