Obama feebly tried to stage an open convention. That would have been much, much better.
It was never clear to me why Democrats rallied around Harris so immediately, except for some weird notion on appearing unified.

They get so few wins that they're acting like he cured cancer for winning a race in a D+40 city against a Republican who Trump wouldn't endorse & the same guy he beat in the primary.
Flipping 13 seats in the VA HOD, 3 in the NJ GA & winning 2 gubernatorial races by 14-15% is a lot more impressive.

Winning an election is not successfully serving in office. The Mayor-Elect remains untested, for now, and that election is STILL not a bellwether for what’s going to work nationwide or even statewide.
