Not sure who needs to hear this, but fascist republicans are the furthest from being pro-life that I have ever witnessed. All they seem to enjoy is taking and destroying lives in every way possible. Fuck you to anyone who voted for that and or chose to not vote at all.

If you are authorized to carry a gun, how can it be used as any kind of justification to shoot him? The US has chosen the right to bear arms time and again over other, and since the visual evidence does not seem to corroborate what Noem says, it is unbearable.

A colleague of Alex Pretti at the Minneapolis VA hospital vehemently rejected DHS' narrative that Pretti went to the area seeking to commit violence against federal law enforcement Saturday.

“Bullshit,” said Julia Grigoriev. “I would never believe that Alex would want to harm anybody.”
Alex Pretti identified as man fatally shot by federal officers in Minneapolis
Pretti, an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System, had no criminal record beyond parking tickets.

Journalists, please remember that repeating obviously false statements is not balance or fairness. It is actively participating in deception.

Powerful statement from the family of Alex Pretti, obtained by CNN:

"Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world..."

Absolutley heartbreaking that parents of a man gunned down by federal agents have to put out a statement because the president and his cowardly minions are defaming their son. We’re way past sick.
Kare 11 local news just read, in full, this statement from Michael and Susan Pretti, the parents of Alex Pretti.

"Please get the truth out about our son."

Yes.
Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

We are observers, not protestors. We show up to document and film the atrocities ICE is committing. Using 5 year olds as bait. Kidnapping senior citizens. Breaking down doors without warrants. Murdering poets and nurses. Media has all of that information because *observers* were there to document it

DA Bregman: If ICE comes in without a warrant, without reasonable suspicion, without probable cause, that is false imprisonment in New Mexico. You can’t confine, restrain, or detain someone without proper legal authority to do so. And there’s no exception for law enforcement.

I will vote NO on the funding bill for Trump’s ICE.

They are killing Americans.
Detaining children.
Trampling our freedoms.

We are losing our humanity.

This is a defining moment for our nation. A moment for moral courage. We must stand together and say no.

Today marks the second killing of a U.S. citizen by federal immigration agents this month in Minneapolis.

Secretary Noem must answer for the deaths and the fear these unchecked tactics are sowing in our communities.

And Republican voters need to stand up against this because as “good” and “compliant” they think they are, what if they’re misidentified or at the wrong place at the wrong time and the state executes them??! There’s no coming back!

No one in good conscience can support this and must speak up
Van Hollen: "The Trump admin has essentially said to folks at ICE, 'Anything goes. You have a license to kill. And by the way, we won't investigate you. We'll take care of this for you.' When they're calling these Americans 'domestic terrorists,' what they're saying to ICE is we got your back."

Last night, I was assaulted by a man at Sundance Festival who told me that Trump was going to deport me before he punched me in the face. He was heard screaming racist remarks as he drunkenly ran off. The individual was arrested and I am okay.
