Advancing the needs of working people, unions & the labor movement in Congress. Solidarity forever.
64 years ago, federal workers won the right to unionize leading to fairer workplaces and better conditions.

Today, those rights are under attack. Federal workers serve our veterans, keep our water safe, and protect our communities.

We stand with them today and always. ✊

ASL & spoken word interpreters perform essential services to connect our communities, and they deserve fair wages and working conditions.

We're proud to stand with the brave interpreters who are fighting to organize a union with @opeiu.org & @cwaunion.bsky.social

Great meeting today with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Government Affairs Director, Dean Warsh. As a proud IBEW member, it’s always good to talk about how we can stand up for workers by advancing strong, pro-labor policies such as the Faster Labor Contracts Act.

It’s an embarrassment that the federal minimum wage hasn’t been raised in over 16 years. This summer, Republicans voted to give tax breaks to billionaires. When will they finally vote to support the American worker?

Tipped workers earn every dollar they make.

House Republicans want to weaken the rules that protect them, even though the sub-minimum wage hasn’t changed in decades.

If your paycheck depends on tips, this bill puts you at risk.

It’s not a worker protection act — it’s a corporate giveaway.

During the pandemic, our nurses stepped up to the call to action.

I stand with @nynurses.bsky.social who are fighting for a fair contract and safe staffing conditions to continue providing the care New Yorkers need and deserve.

#SafeStaffingSavesLives
Shoutout to the NYC private nurses who delivered strike notices to management today!

Nurses don't want to strike, but are ready if management refuses to negotiate a fair contract that protects patient care.

Congrats to the workers of UFCW Local 152 at TQ Baking in Vineland on ratifying a strong new contract. They secured across-the-board raises, affordable union healthcare, better retirement benefits, and improved safety and time off. Proof that when workers stick together, they win.

On November 5, approximately 200 members at Top Quality "TQ" Baking, a Marzetti company in Vineland, NJ, ratified a new union contract!

I’ll keep fighting for a path to citizenship for TPS recipients.

Our firefighters and first responders keep our families safe on their hardest days. Last month, I joined my @laborcaucus.house.gov colleagues to meet with IAFF President Edward Kelly to discuss how we can continue supporting our firefighters here in Maryland and across the country.

From stocking shelves to delivering gifts, let’s take a moment to appreciate the workers who make the holiday season possible✨

This season and beyond, thank you for all you do!

Trump is continuing his war on energy projects around the country and killing thousands of good-paying union jobs.

These attacks are hurting construction workers and holding back American energy dominance.

Last week, we forced a vote and passed @golden.house.gov's Protecting America’s Workforce Act to restore collective bargaining rights for over 1 million federal workers.

We're calling on the Senate to immediately pass the bill and deliver for working people.

Last week, I spoke with workers in DC from The Duck & The Peach, La Collina, and The Wells, about their plans to unionize. It’s clear they want what every worker deserves: a fair process and a voice at work. I stand with them and support their right to organize without intimidation or retaliation.

For over a month, @sbworkersunited.org has been on strike for a union contract.

We stand with these workers. Starbucks needs to bargain in good faith and finally reach a first contract with baristas.
We're back! Baristas on ULP strike have once again brought the picket line to Starbucks's biggest regional distribution center in York, PA.

We're making sure that Starbucks hears us: we need finalized contracts, an end to union-busting, and resolution to all outstanding unfair labor practices.

We're fired up after meeting with IAFF President Ed Kelly 💪🔥

We rely on firefighters and emergency personnel every day to keep our communities safe 🧑‍🚒

Together, we're stepping up in the fight for workers' rights.

@beyer.house.gov joined local 23 workers for a rally demanding a fair contract.

We stand in solidarity with our house food service workers ✊

🚨Yesterday, we passed @golden.house.gov's bill to restore collective bargaining rights for over 1 million federal employees.

I introduced the LET’S Protect Workers Act with @bobbyscott.house.gov, @norcross.house.gov, @debbiedingell.house.gov, & @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social.

Our labor laws are so weakly enforced, and the penalties so minimal, that for many companies, breaking the law is just cheaper than following it.
