Dad. Husband. VA-11 Congressman. Rep. Connolly’s longtime Chief of Staff. Official account.
@captmarkkelly.bsky.social bravely flew 39 combat missions, commanded the space shuttle, & recovered fallen astronauts.

He’s being “investigated” for a video where he simply states the law.

That tells you everything you need to know about the Trump admin.
I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

We should be expanding opportunities for veterans to start and grow businesses, instead Donald Trump is ripping away their livelihoods.

(1/2): Joined community partners and local nonprofits at today’s #GivingMachinesDC launch with @churchofjesuschrist.social.

These machines turn a simple swipe into meals, housing support, medical care & more, raising $32M for charities worldwide since 2019.

This morning, I joined the incredible team at Western Fairfax Christian Ministries to help distribute Thanksgiving meals to families in Fairfax County.

Our community is strongest when we show up for one another and today was a powerful reminder of that.

@kaine.senate.gov & I introduced bicameral legislation to demand accountability for VA resident & Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s murder.

This week, Trump rolled out the red carpet & defended Mohammed bin Salman, the man who ordered the killing.

Jamal & his family deserve justice.

Really enjoyed joining @wamu.org The Politics Hour live at Fair Oaks Mall today.

Thank you to @nnamdikid.bsky.social, Tom Sherwood, and every neighbor who tuned in, showed up, and took part in the conversation!

Trump moves Maxwell to a cushy prison where she gets special benefits, according to a whistleblower.

Now she’s refusing to participate in our investigation.

What are they hiding?

Great visit with the team at TrustPoint in Herndon today—cutting-edge space innovation happening right here in Fairfax.

Proud to see our community leading the way in next-gen technology and talent.

Live radio with a live audience in Fair Oaks Mall? Absolutely.

So grateful to @wamu.org’s Politics Hour, @nnamdikid.bsky.social,Tom Sherwood, and everyone who called in, asked questions, listened, and shared laughs.

Let’s be clear: swastikas and nooses are not gray areas.

They are violent symbols of hate rooted in evil and racism, and America should never tolerate their display, not on our streets and certainly not in our armed forces.

On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the transgender lives taken by hate.

Their memory fuels my work — from helping Fairfax earn a perfect 100 on HRC’s Equality Index to supporting the Equality Act in Congress.

I’ll keep fighting discrimination until we eradicate hate.

Donald Trump’s posts today were deeply disturbing.

Political violence against anyone is unacceptable, and we cannot, under any circumstances, normalize it.

It must be condemned immediately.

Trump promised to cut costs. Instead, he and Congressional Republicans drove up prices on health care, groceries, and utilities.

Virginia families are paying $553 more than last year — and Fairfax families are feeling it.

The GOP simply doesn't care.

WAMU’s's Politics Hour show is going on the road!

Tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 21 at 12pm, @nnamdikid.bsky.social, Tom Sherwood, and I will be live at Fairfax Oaks Mall for a candid, on-air conversation with audience questions.

I hope you’ll join us in person or listen from wherever you are.

D.C. residents deserve the same right to govern themselves as every other community.

Yet House Republicans, who know little about D.C., are pushing bills that meddle in what should be local decisions.

I stand with D.C. leaders against these harmful attacks.

(1/2): Fairfax’s vibrant economy is key to Virginia’s continued success.

But Trump Administration policies — federal job cuts, contract cancellations, tariffs, and health care cuts — are doing damage.
November 19, 2025 at 8:35 PM
(1/2); This weekend I joined WellFed at First Baptist Church of Vienna to connect with families grappling with the Trump Administration’s attacks on federal workers.

It’s always hard to hear the stories of those who have lost their jobs due to reckless policies.

Disgusting.

I just voted on the House Floor to release the Epstein files. Trump has always had the power to do this himself, but he’s scrambled to keep them hidden.

Today isn’t about his smokescreens — it’s about taking a real step toward justice for the survivors.

Trump isn't having a change of heart. He is panicking. He knows the House will vote to release the Epstein files. He could have released them months ago. He could release them today. He will not.

But this vote isn't about him. It's a major step toward justice for the survivors.
November 18, 2025 at 7:32 PM
After pulling out every stop to block a vote on releasing the Epstein files, Trump admits failure.

But there’s no need to wait for votes in the House and Senate. Trump can decide to release the files TODAY.

Why hasn’t he?
November 18, 2025 at 2:29 AM
I will vote YES to release the #EpsteinFiles because it’s time to bring this coverup to an end. ⬇️
November 18, 2025 at 12:46 AM
Recently-revealed emails suggest Trump knew that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were trafficking young girls, including from Mar-a-Lago.

If Trump knew that Epstein was trafficking and abusing children, why didn’t he go to the authorities?
