Proudly representing Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District.
In this country, the President doesn’t dictate who goes to jail. If a servicemember follows illegal orders, they are the ones being held legally liable – not President Trump. My colleagues all made an oath to uphold the Constitution and served in uniform faithfully.

With the holidays around the corner, Americans are feeling the effects of the Administration’s reckless economic policies, which are driving up the cost of groceries, utilities, health care, housing, and more. Hardworking Americans deserve more than to just get by, they should be able to get ahead.
Fox News Poll: Voters say White House is doing more harm than good on economy
Trump's approval hits new lows as 76% view economy negatively in the latest Fox News poll. Rising costs for groceries, utilities spark voter dissatisfaction nationwide.

For decades, China has engaged in unfair trade practices harming the American shipbuilding industry & manufacturing jobs. Instead of supporting our American companies & standing up to China as he promised, President Trump announced he would pause actions that crackdown on these unfair practices.

What the heck is a discharge petition?? With the vote on the Epstein files this week and now House Democrats continuing to fight for a vote on the ACA tax credits, you’ve likely heard a lot of talk about the discharge petition.

Let’s be clear: the President is violently threatening my colleagues who have served their country honorably in uniform over an online video he disagrees with. Dangerous rhetoric must be condemned unequivocally and in all forms – regardless of who incites it.

The victims of Jeffrey Epstein have been denied justice for far too long. Thank you to all the survivors who courageously shared their stories to make this moment possible.

A slush fund providing $500,000 cash payouts to Republican Senators while more than half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck should NEVER have been included in a spending bill in the first place.

Accidentally matching with my good friend and partner, State Senator Katie Fry Hester! As Congress looks to regulate AI and other emerging technologies, we must continue to work with our state partners who are actively delivering solutions and tackling these issues.

This is not about energy dominance – there is nothing in today’s legislation to ensure energy produced would even benefit Americans, let alone the communities most impacted.

Nearly every American family has been touched by cancer - mine included. Fortunately, the federal government’s near-century of investment in cancer research and clinical trials has resulted in life-saving treatments for millions – again, my family included.
Trump slashed spending on clinical trials. The toll is starting to become clear.
Grants for 383 clinical trials were terminated and the funding disruptions affected more than 74,000 trial participants, according to new research.
