high Ont prof $ =
fewer $ available for grad students, sessionals, & tenure-track hires =
fewer grad students, sessionals, & tenure-track hires =
far more work & far worse job for Ont profs =
high Ont prof $ becomes more justified!
Canadian University salary data is out: Queen's has now passed Toronto in having the highest average professorial salary - $198,875.

I got home just after my family had finished dinner. *Just* after. Food had been put in the fridge for me a minute earlier.

Solve an argument: Was this “dinner” or “leftovers”? Does dinner become leftovers as soon as the fridge door closes?

Just submitted a grant that asked for recent "contributions to training" - MA & PhD supervisions.

My list was of histories of kudzu, snow, highways, oil & gas dev, sand sucking, alternative service work, NASA missions, the blind in nature, POW camps, & yellow fever.

History prof = no comfort zone.
