I just met Anna Wintour in a Duane Reade downstairs from my office. I needed batteries for my little Christmas tree. She was very kind and gracious. That was unexpected.

A fire has broken out at a metal scrapyard 4 blocks from our house. So many emergency personnel responded. They had it put out for a while, but it has since reignited. The smoke smells like a combination of burning rubber and plastic. We have no idea what we're breathing in here. #freehold #NJ

The saga of the car hitting my house has officially come to an end. The crew of contractors wrapped up today, leaving the foundation of my house in better a shape than it was before the accident. If you're in Central Jersey and need a contractor, I have your guy.

The last gasp of this storm flooded the tracks at the Newark airport station, 60-minute delays. So I’m riding the ferry for the first time to South Amboy, and grabbing a Lyft to get the Jeep parked at the Aberdeen station. This is a lot, but the ferry is delightful. #commuter #njtransit #nywaterway

I spoke to our insurance adjuster yesterday. It's not finalized yet, but it would appear we will be getting a completely new, period-correct brick foundation. The car owner's insurance company is taking full responsibility. The adjuster was describing how the repairs would work.

Updates on the car hitting my house incident: While I was in AZ, I received my copy of the police report. The girl who was behind the wheel was 15, too young to have a learner's permit. She was charged with driving without a license, careless driving, and driving the wrong way down the street.

All of my dental work is complete and i couldn't be happier. I'm still processing this. It doesn't feel real. I'm trying to learn how to smile with my lips open. That's not something I've ever done. I left Yuma today and now I'm in my old neighborhood in Mesa. #Arizona #Mesa #DentalTourism
