Uh, hello, new followers! A bunch of you appeared this afternoon, I'm guessing from the neurodivergence/disability starter pack?

I post about tech, life, mental health, ADHD, autism, chronic illness, disability, video games, whatever.

I'm also unapologetically queer and trans.

These two are the absolute best of buddies and will not infrequently trot side-by-side at the exact same speed like a cartoon as they go round the house together.
Two cats on a sofa. One is a calico and the other is black. Both are pointed away from the camera, with the calico laying on top of the black one, looking pleased as punch.

As an experiment, we (the Firefox team) wanted to try a new way to get feedback on which Interop proposals matter most.

So, here's a web app where you can rank the proposals you care about, giving us data we can use when reviewing which ones to champion.

Over a grungy cement-looking background is the text, "Make a splash with Rubyists, programmers, and tech-minded folks / Sponsor our 10/25 Austin Event" with details on the perks sponsors receive + a link with more information. In both bottom corners there are decorative graphics of purple trees.

Okay, chat, I need electric toothbrush recommendations.

Must allow for soft bristles and ideally has very low vibrations or adjustable vibrations.

Our neighbors roofs have frost! (Ours might too, I just can't see them).

I'm so ready for some seasonal weather

One of the reasons I'm grateful I work from home is that I can talk to myself and sing as much as I want
alephnaught2tog.bsky.social
there's a lot of reasons but I feel like the primary one is while that has absolutely been applied to autistic folks, it's been applied to SO MANY OTHERS that it doesn't feel like it's theirs to reclaim
alephnaught2tog.bsky.social
I trust them machine but I also strongly disagree, because I kept waking up when it leaked etc

Slept great last night! Managed to wear the CPAP for the vast majority of the night, around 7 hours. 30% REM. SUCH VIVID DREAMS but for the first time in recent memory they weren't terrible and graphic?!?!

The CPAP said my mask leaks were super ultra extreme and gave me a 0% score in that regard???
alephnaught2tog.bsky.social
That was my first guess and I really was hoping I was wrong 😬

okay just took a nap with the medium mask and 10000000% improvement
alephnaught2tog.bsky.social
but even with all of that, while I was wearing the mask, my AHI went from 85 to 5 for an average of like 45 overnight (since I didn't use the mask for a few hours)
alephnaught2tog.bsky.social
First night with the CPAP: decent success! I had issues with mask fit/leaking and just getting used to it overall, but I managed a good 5 hours with it on (some at the start of the night, some at the end) and I feel pretty good
