I wonder how many convincing "yeah it's important don't worry about it" I still have in me until my parents realize that the thing I put in their basement a year ago isn't actually some important part of their internet connection but a storage server that is just too annoyingly noisy for my place 👀

So... it's (mostly) the curtain, got a big burn-hole. Not great, not terrible, available as aftermarket part but I gotta hunt for that.
Kind of a unique issue with rangefinders: The sun hates them and if you store them without a lens cap, it will try to kill them if it gets the chance

May the gods have mercy on me, I got a broken Leica M5 for repair and have to hope that nothing in there is actually physically broken - just grimey, out of adjustment or whatever - because getting any replacement parts beyond screws and springs will involve questions like "They want HOW MUCH?"

I need to hop between 4 different trains today and spend some time at each intermediate place to get something, like a quest you need to do in order.

Downloading some Christmas songs off YouTube for my Dad's Christmas thing, and he thinks we're doing something so very illegal that we need to be careful, lest YT kicks in the door and takes his 7 public domain Christmas songs.

Added a secret trapdoor that launches randomly colored balloons when clicking the thing.
This may _sound_ like a stupid feature, but it's actually very important because that's how the sad =( is turned back into a happy =)

Before: Dreadful, just a white =) in the default font on anthracite, offering nothing.
Now: Tastefully centered, striking colors, offering hope in uncertain times.
