This was the most exciting post season baseball in years. The @bluejays.com united a nation.
Heartbroken, but still so proud of that team.
Wishing everyone in Pitt Meadows a happy and safe Halloween!👻🎃🧛‍♂️🧙

If you’re out driving, please slow down and keep a close eye out for excited little ghosts and goblins!

Have a fun and safe evening, Pitt Meadows!
And a friendly reminder: fireworks are not permitted in Pitt Meadows without a permit.
Rain falling, thoughts settling.
Some walks home from Council are heavy, but not tonight!!
Grateful for the happy ones, and for a Blue Jays win!
(Yes, the rain jacket with Mickey ears made an appearance.)
The amount of times I have held my breath during this game…😵‍💫 #GoBlueJays
Safer streets, healthier lives. Proud of the work happening in Pitt Meadows to support active transportation and make our community even more livable.
The design of your city can help make you healthier, study finds.

(That should be ANOTHER study)

“A new study in Nature found when people moved from less walkable U.S. cities to more walkable ones, they increased their levels of physical activity & saw health benefits.”

A highlight was hearing Steve Robinson from Pitt Meadows Plumbing speak about fostering innovation, not only to strengthen our local economy, but to advance opportunities across Canada.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners and participants for their outstanding ideas and contributions!

Councillor Manion and I had the pleasure of attending Maple Ridge’s Business Innovation Challenge. It was inspiring to see so many creative and driven businesses showcasing their innovative ideas.

Events like this highlight the remarkable talent and creative spirit that thrive in our region.

Named in memory of Bernice Gehring, whose lifelong commitment to care, compassion, and community service continues to inspire, the building stands as a living tribute to her legacy.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this meaningful project to life.

Honored to attend the opening of the Bernice Gehring Building, a partnership between BC Housing, Cythera Transition House Society & Ridge Meadows Community Services.
This facility will provide vital supports for women and children in our community, strengthening the safety and wellbeing of so many.
Thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of Stacked Pancake and Breakfast House right here in Pitt Meadows!

This welcome addition to Pitt Meadows is sure to be a success…and I can personally confirm, the cinnamon bun pancakes are fantastic!😋🥞

That conversation inspired a Pitt Meadows resolution calling for stronger support for B.C. farmers, and I’m proud that UBCM delegates endorsed it!

Now, we hope the Provincial Government listens and takes action to better support the people who grow our food!

At UBCM 2024, Councillor Manion and I attended a session where BC Agriculture Council President Jenn Woike mentioned this chart (image 4), when we finally saw the chart, it was shocking. It clearly showed how much change is needed to provincial spending on agriculture in our province.

Continuous learning is something I value deeply, and this program has been a great opportunity to strengthen my understanding of local government and leadership.

Looking forward for continuing on to Levels 2 and 3!

Thank you to all the educators who continue to inspire and shape the next generation, you are appreciated!
As the child of 2 teachers, I saw firsthand the hours spent marking, the personal expenses to decorate classrooms and stock supplies, and the unwavering commitment teachers bring to helping students grow and succeed. It’s not an easy job, yet one that our community and society rely on so heavily.
