Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

Job1: “Do you have an emergency?” and “Where is this happening?”

Job2: “I’m hearing this a lot from residents…” and “This wasn’t an easy decision…”
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"All in favour? All opposed? Carried."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"No, sorry you've got the wrong number. Ed retired about 8 years ago."

1/2 Spent the day in Burnaby at the Destination BC Forum for the Vancouver & Coastal Mountain area!

We heard about the economic impact of tourism, where the industry is headed, how major events like the World Cup can benefit local communities, and the importance of sustainable tourism.

Consider ‘fortress of smallitude’ my new favourite phrase.
And yes, I’m going to overuse it.

#3 in the country?! 🇨🇦❤️
Heck yah we are! 🙌🏻

And the #1 Small City!

But let’s be honest… we already knew that 😉
➡️ 47% less likely to experience crime than the Canadian average
➡️ 89% of residents have a family doctor
➡️ 80% of us feel a strong sense of belonging

Love this city. Love this community.❤️

Council celebrated Jaime Perrault, a talented soccer player who grew up right here in Pitt Meadows playing for West Coast Soccer.

Jaime is playing professionally for the Vancouver Rise in the Northern Super League and this year, in the league’s very first season, the Rise were the champions!

Last night was my first Vancouver Goldeneyes game and it was so fun!!
Thrilled to be there for a dominant 5–0 win over Toronto!

Amazing hockey, fun atmosphere, a great crowd, and a reminder of how powerful it is to invest in women’s sport.
Can’t wait to go to my next game!

It’s almost that time of year again…
I’m doing the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics!

It’s cold, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s 100% worth it to support the incredible Special Olympics athletes!🥶

Last night I attended the first play at Pitt Meadows Secondary in 26 years, and it was truly delightful!

Bottom of the Lake was student-led. From directing and lighting to set design, makeup, and acting. It was funny, clever, and such a treat for the audience.

It was such a heartwarming and happy ceremony. ❤️
These well deserving award recipients embody exactly what makes Pitt Meadows such a great place to live!

With all the talk about how elected officials should consider leaving X, I thought I’d repost this.

If you are not in this pack and want to be, leave a comment.

I used to love Twitter.
I had been on the platform since 2009. It felt like a community for years.
Once elected, I experienced hate, threats of violence and generally awful interactions.
I stopped posting in 2023, and eventually deleted my account.
There are other ways to engage with the public.

For the first time in 26 years, PMSS students are bringing a full theatrical production to the stage with “Bottom of the Lake” by Steven Stack.
This play blends ghost stories, urban legends, teen experiences, comedy, and film noir, all performed by the talented PMSS students!

“In 2021, extreme weather cost B.C.’s economy $17 billion,…

Why are B.C. families and taxpayers paying the climate bill instead of the companies most responsible for driving the damages?”

Great opinion piece: vancouversun.com/opinion/op-e...
Opinion: We’re sending B.C.’s extreme weather bills to the wrong people
Costs for floods and fires are shifted onto residents and taxpayers while companies most responsible for driving disasters pocket profits
