Today is National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

December 6, 1989, 14 women were murdered at Polytechnique Montréal simply because they were women.

We must keep working toward a safer, more equitable future for everyone.

Thank you to YPK for hosting the Annual Jingle & Mingle yesterday!

It was a nice way to gather with our airport community for snacks, live music, and holiday cheer. Even more heartwarming to see so many people bring donations for our local food bank.

It was a wonderful turnout today at the Japanese Canadian Hall for the unveiling of a new plaque.
The plaque tells the history of the Japanese Canadian residents who helped build and shape our community, often working as farmers.

The potential impact of the TransMountain pipeline taxation model change if the BC Finance Minister approves them.

If this goes through it will be devastating to local taxpayers.

While visiting the Art Gallery we could hear laughter and music. We soon learned that upstairs was a 100th birthday celebration!
A reminder of how our community centres bring people together to celebrate life’s biggest moments.
Here’s to community, connection, and a century of memories!

Welcome to Pitt Meadows, Osprey Curry Lounge!

It’s always exciting to see new local businesses open their doors!
With another successful Curry Lounge in Lillooet, they bring experience and a passion for authentic Indian cuisine.

We especially loved the pink chai, a must-try! 💗

We remember their contributions, their resilience, and their enduring legacy.

This was the most exciting post season baseball in years. The @bluejays.com united a nation.
Heartbroken, but still so proud of that team.

Rain falling, thoughts settling.
Some walks home from Council are heavy, but not tonight!!
Grateful for the happy ones, and for a Blue Jays win!
(Yes, the rain jacket with Mickey ears made an appearance.)

Safer streets, healthier lives. Proud of the work happening in Pitt Meadows to support active transportation and make our community even more livable.
The design of your city can help make you healthier, study finds.

(That should be ANOTHER study)

“A new study in Nature found when people moved from less walkable U.S. cities to more walkable ones, they increased their levels of physical activity & saw health benefits.”
