I love the part where a guy defeats his slap drone by moving to a lower tech planet, investing in a company that makes MRIs for marine mammals and tricks the drone into entering one.
i cannot emphasize enough that this is how the society in The Culture novels, which he claims are his favorite but probably only heard about from Grimes, deals with murderers.
