Grouping is absolutely value. It's called agglomeration and for every doubling of population you get a 4% increase in productivity which ripples through the economy for huge gains in not just wealth but cultural amenities.

That is completely backwards. People come together in cities for efficiencies. That grouping of people creates value. That value attracts more people. This creates a positive feedback loop. This positive feedback loop generates a lot of wealth. You are just pulling up the ladder.

The sewage system in Los Angeles was built 80 years ago. It was designed for a zoned capacity that was more than 3x the current population and the fixtures used 4x the water. The expansion in the 50s was still designed for +2x people.

It is completely untrue that urban sewage systems are completely inadequate. Beach shutdowns in SoCal are because of storm water effluent not wastewater treatment. We do not have outdated mixed stormwater and sewage systems like NY.
