This feels like really functional advice, and it doesn’t make me seize up reading it.
As a historian, I can certify that we are in the bad times. But bad times eventually end.

I’m deleting my history on FB and omg past me was way too chatty. (I don’t want to delete my account, which would be eons faster, because it’s useful for hyperlocal stuff. But this way is so painful.
