What "CM" Payne didn't realize is that donors are smarter and care more.
How did they get all that money to give to candidates? They were smarter than the rest of you.
The fact that they then even consider putting their time and effort into making this heckhole better shows they care more too.
Minneapolis doesn’t have a strong Mayor, it has strong donors. Residents thought they voted for a single point of accountability, what they got was a single point of failure. Wealthy donors have taken over national politics, let's not let them take over locally.

It’s a context you should consider when you hear attacks on the City Council.

What Chet Wedgely misses here is that this would apply a greater amount of scrutiny and judgement to all Employers across the city.
We need the Jobmakers and Moneymakers, who drive the tax base and Economy of The City, to be free from unelected (unemployed) DSA members breathing down their necks.

We need to protect the Strong Mayor's Strong Veto.
Labor standards only hamper business with regulation and to make it impossible to have employees do what their bosses say.
The DSA/CCP aligned "City" Councillors must be stopped in their attempt at weakening the heart and core of MPLS: Business
In a stunning move, Mayor Frey turns his back on workers and vetoes the Labor Standards Board.

Just 2 years ago, flanked by workers on the steps of City Hall, Mayor Frey proudly proclaimed the need for a Labor Standard Board.

To keep MPLS affordable we need a City Council that will:

✅ Defund core services within a large budget

✅ Revitalize Downtown & Uptown to prove Mike Norton is lying about it being OK

✅ Make it easier for big businesses to thrive

✅ Focus on safety theater, and keeping landlords happy
