The City Council just took action on the historic Cook house on 18th Ave Ne. We referred the appeal asking to demolish the property back to staff which ensures that no demolition can occur for the next 6 months.

This evening was the plaque dedication ceremony in honor of the 21 Edison alumni who died in service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. I authored a resolution honoring these Edison Heroes that will join these plaques at Edison in honoring the students who gave their lives at such a young age.

Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:

The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

Minneapolis will continue to have a champion in local government because @elliottpayne.org has won reelection!

From expanding alternatives to policing & championing workers rights to unapologetically fighting authoritarianism in this moment, Elliott is the leader MLPS needs.

We have @elliottpayne.org to thank for making this a reality.

I look forward to another 4 years with him on the Council.
On election eve, I want to share a thread from the last podcast on Behavioral Crisis Response, a non-police response to appropriate 911 calls. It’s personal to me because I have family who have experienced crisis. That Frey worked to sabotage, rather than accelerate, BCR - and then claims credit - 🤬
