OK I’m really here now! For folks who don’t know me yet, I’m Char! Writing video games for the last 10 years, making weird experiments with writing & tech, teaching writing & yoga too. I want to believe that we can have a great time on the internet again 🙏

I spent all day out at a learning event today 9-5 & I don’t know how I used to go to a big office every weekday for work for like 15 years - today I learned a lot! I had fun with people! And also every last nerve is frayed & I’ve got not a crumb of energy left! Wild!!

I think there is some information in there that isn't familiar to a lot of people. Including that the US is currently holding three times as many people in immigration detention as were detained in the entire Nazi concentration camp system in spring 1939—six years into the Third Reich.

It’s so hard for me to grasp that the structures of power mean that we all now watch “the emperor’s new clothes” happening in US non-stop. I don’t understand why there isn’t a massive, organised, supported by other powerful people, real resistance to end it. Marches, strikes, riots, tax withholding.

You know what feels really really really good? Feeding the birds. It's cold out there, & most of us have the ability to walk outside with a few fistfuls of bird seed and absolutely make the day of scores of beautiful, talkative, feathered friends. Makes my day too!
