I was on the board of Fenway and I warned the then CEO in 2023 that this would happen. This was cowardly capitulation sacrificing trans youth.

1. In a major capitulation to Trump, Fenway Health, a center ostensibly dedicated to LGBTQ+ healthcare, has ended its trans care program under 19.

It could have fought for its patients. It chose instead to roll over.

Community members are devastated.

Fenway Health Restricts Treatment for Patients Under 19 In Capitulation To Trump
“This is a fundamental betrayal to the core mission of Fenway and the patients they serve.”

Tonight I was fortunate to see the opening night of #300paintings by Sam Kissajukian. This show felt deeply personal to this mentally ill former theatre kid who works for an art museum. Highly recommend, even if you aren't in that exact niche. Definitely stay for the exhibit gallery afterwards!
Front of a theatre program for Sam Kissajukian's 300 Paintings at Farkas Hall. The show runs until Oct 25. One of Sam Kissajukian's paintings from 300 Paintings show and exhibit. The painting title is 'Music to Discombobulate To (After you view this, you will not be smart)'. One of Sam Kissajukian's paintings from 300 Paintings show and exhibit. The painting title is 'Nostalgia'. One of Sam Kissajukian's paintings from 300 Paintings show and exhibit. The painting title is 'Dinner for Two'.

Many things are awful on the macro and the micro levels right now, but please consider that this perfect orange cat adores you just as you are, so keep fighting.
An orange pumpkin, an orange tabby cat, and an orange pillow all sit in a row on a stone window ledge. The cat gazes back at the picture taker over his shoulder, a very sweet look on his face.

They will if people make them. See Disney.

These idiotic tariffs are going to kill so many small businesses.

Here's my current project! Many hugs from one canvas stabber to another.
An unfinished crossstitch piece, showing an outline of black hair and a white and grey dress.

Josh Johnson and his openers were a much needed spot of laughter amidst all the crazy. Glad to have been lucky enough to see him while he's here in Boston.

I'm seeing him later this week and I'm so excited!

Yea, it's one of those days.
A grey tabby cat has been caught in a picture mid tail-chase. Her eyes are wild. A closeup of a grey tabby with very wild eyes as she chases her tail.

Never alone.

(Thank goodness.)
Two tabby cats, a large orange and a smaller grey/brown, snuggle on a bright red rug. Both are gazing sleepily at the camera held by the catmom who dared to need the restroom in her own home.

"I'll totally have the energy to cook dinner tonight after marching in a protest today," and other lies my overly optimistic disabled ass tells myself.

Worth it. Boston turned out for Labor Day, and it did my heart good to be a part of it.
The marching group from the UAW Region 9a arranged behind a red, white and blue walking banner that reads, "This is what democracy looks like". Many have blue UAW flags or signs and hand written signs as well. The city streets of Boston are behind them.

I don't yet, no. Only seen WCVB report on it so far, and no crowd estimate given there when I last saw.

Starting my Labor Day with a parade/protest!
A brown paper protest sign reads, "If we weren't strong, they wouldn't be trying to break us!"

Today I can't, but I'm sticking around in the hopes that tomorrow I can, and for these two perfect cat shaped floofs who rely on me.

Mental health care is health care, and invisible disabilities are real.
Two cats lie on a beige rug in a sunny patch, momentarily at peace with each other and the world. The grey tabby is curled mostly into a ball, and the orange tabby is sprawled out. Their heads are near each other but not touching.

Don't fuck with a person with the patience and fortitude to stab something several tens of thousands of times just to show her love.

(Started working on a gift for a partner.)
An embroidery hoop displays the very beginning of a new project so far worked in grey and white thread, on a golden needle.
