The best thing on this app is seeing so many trans women and trans men living their best lives. Revelling in their new bodies and showing themselves to the world. It makes me so happy seeing their joy.

Our Community Market Joy for All is this Saturday, just four days away!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Our next artist is Robin Ilex Studios! They are a trans hand embroidery artist based in Glasgow. They also make scrunchies, reusable makeup wipes and other accessories, such as embroidered pride flag inspired pansy brooches
Graphic with an orange background. At the top is a rainbow banner which says "Joy for All" "LGBTQIA+ Autumn Makers Market & Community Space! 11/10/25 - Norton Park Conference Centre". On the left is three pictures. The top picture is of orange and red patterned hair scrunchies around a green pumpkin. The second picture is of a removable collar on a hanger, it has been sewn in star-patterned fabric. The third picture is of an embroidered brooch of a pansy in the trans flag colours. On the right it says "Artist Highlight: Robin Ilex Studio" "Robin (he/they) is a trans hand embroidery artist based in Glasgow. They also make scrunchies, reusable makeup wipes and other accessories, such as embroidered pride flag inspired pansy brooches."

the unique trans experience of "im happier and more whole than I've ever been but have never had fewer people to share that joy with" is so backwards

give a shit about your trans friends when they're metamorphosing. there's nothing to mourn, and it doesn't need to make sense to you

So much yes to trans futures! We are birthing new things in the cracks of our civilization and they can't stop us.

Would you be open to sharing your words with my trans joy newsletter? I feature anonymous joy submissions from the community each month, and I love what you wrote. Let me know :)

“At a recent trans rights conference in TX her assistant scheduled 30-min one-on-one chats w/any attendee who wanted, a process that brings her joy. She shows younger ppl what’s possible, that you can be a Black trans person who has no desire to conform to gender norms & can survive to be an elder.”

@samtlevin.bsky.social did a really lovely profile and interview with Miss Major in June of 2023:

"Her doormats say “Welcome bitches”, “Fuck off”, “Come back with a warrant” and “Home, where the ho & me come together”."

Remember, they hate trans joy, they hate gay joy, they hate Black joy, they hate Native joy, etc. they hate when we can laugh and love and live our lives in our own skin. They hate that we can find our way without their rigid rules. To find joy and thrive is a great act of resistance too.
